The John James Audubon Center was the first home of the great artist and naturalist. It features a nature sanctuary with more than 175 bird species, and 400 plant species, and a museum with complete editions of every major work Audubon published, including his famous Birds in America series of copper plate engravings. The center lies just east of Phoenixville, next to Lower Perkiomen Valley Park.
Museum: Open Tues. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sun. 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Grounds: Open Tues. - Sun. 7:00 a.m. - dusk.
